A stroke occurs when part of the brain doesn't get enough blood. When this occurs, the cells don't get oxygen or nutrients and they die.

Eat a healthy diet
A healthy diet will help you reduce the risk of obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes. Each of those problems increases your risk of developing a stroke.

* Eat a low fat diet
