How you can reduce aging effects

The human body naturally goes through changes as it ages. Not minding that, there are still ways to slow the aging process and keep your body well and strong into your late ages.

A healthy diet and regular exercise can help keep your heart, muscles and bone healthy. It can also help stimulate the brain and can slow  the onset of memory loss.

Let's look at possible ways we can take better care of our body so as to look and feel younger even when you are not expected to look so.

Avoid excessive exposure of your body to sun

Damaging ultraviolet light from the sun is a major cause of premature aging. Rays from the sun can cause damage to your skin, it can cause wrinkles, changes in texture, brown spots and loss of elasticity and these can make you appear older than you look.

You can wear thick clothes and wide brimmed hat on a sunny day if you'll be staying outside for a while.

You can also try wearing sunscreen and one containing zinc and titanium oxide would be recommendable.

 Drink plenty of water

Staying hydrated throughout the day will help your skin retain moisture and will also contribute in slowing down the aging process.
A total of 2.5 litres per day is recommended and is expected to do the job.

Avoid using many products

Using a lot of different skin care products can actually irritate the skin or cause inflammation and this can amplify the appearance of aging skin.

Multiple skin products can react with each other in unpredictable ways and can irritate the skin.

Find a few products that suits your body or that works well for you and stick to those. And if you find out that the one you're using doesn't seem too good on you, it's advised to change.

Use moisturizer always

Use a good quality moisturizer daily, that will trap moisture in the skin and create a protective barrier. Using moisturizer regularly will help give your skin a more youthful glow.

Before applying the moisturizer, you can clean your face with warm water and mild soap then apply the moisturizer evenly to face and body.

You can apply the moisturizer over your makeup if you wear makeup.

You can try using Traditional (Retin-A)

Tretinoin (Retin-A) is a potent retinoid that promotes the production of collagen in the skin and can be legally purchased only with a doctor's prescription.

This medication is used to improve the appearance of the skin by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, reducing roughness, and improving skin color. It should be used with a
skin care and sunlight avoidance program that includes moisturizer.

PS - This cream does not reverse or repair damaged skin, it only improves your skin appearance.

PSS - Retin-A should be applied to a clean skin once per day.

Try products containing retinoid

Retinoids are a form of vitamin A that are reportedly effective in minimizing fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots.

Products containing retinol have been shown to be effective in preventing the aging effects of sun damage.

Retinoids found in cream include; isotretinoin, retinol, adapalene and retinaldehyde. Retinol products are less likely to cause side effects.

Wash your face regularly

Our environment is fraught with polluting agents like smoke, ozone and gasoline fumes and no doubt we may have came in contact with any of these throughout the day.

These can cause premature wrinkles and make the skin look older than they are. Before going to bed you can wash your face gentle soap and clean water.

You can use a cleaning brush to thoroughly cleanse your face and remove the last traces of your makeup.

When you keep to these steps, you have an edge to give your body a smooth and youthful look...............
