         Every human body is meant to age, yes, but there are things you can do to slow down the aging process.

There are things you should incorporate into your daily activities that can help you keep your body young and strong.

Let's look at some of these activities

Stay active


         To keep your heart healthy as you get older, include physical activity in your daily routine. Regular moderate activity will help you stay fit, reduce arterial stiffening in the heart, and lower your blood pressure.

Exercise helps keep your bones, joints and muscles strong and healthy. Exercise also lowers your blood sugar levels and cholesterol.

Good physical activities include walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, climbing and weight training.

Quit smoking


       Smoking is incredibly harmful to your health and has the potentials to fasten the process of aging. Smoking increases your blood pressure, damages your lungs and hardens your arteries.

Smoking creates wrinkles around your mouth, causes skin to sag and become thinner and all these make you look older.


Get enough sleep


       Your body must be getting enough rest if you want to look young always.when you are asleep, your body repairs itself.

Sleep is very vital for the healing of heart and blood vessels. Most adults require 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night.

Turn off your gadgets such as TV, your computers and smart phone an hour and a half before bedtime, their screens emit a type of blue light that triggers a daytime response in your brain, making it hard to sleep.

Also keep your room cool at night, 60-68 degrees Fahrenheit is thought to be optimal temperature for good sleep.

Eat more of fruits


      There is enough evidence that eating fresh fruits as part of a balance diet will improve your health all round.

Fruits are valuable source of fiber and essential minerals and vitamins. You should incorporate fruits into your daily diet, eat reasonable amount of fruits each day as this helps the body.

Eat more vegetables 


       Vegetables helps the body to remain healthy and retain its fine texture. Vegetable consumption reduces the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases.

Vary your vegetables, eat lots of uncooked green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, carrots, cauliflowers and others you can think of.

Children aged 2-6 need at least 2-3 servings of  vegetables each day but when it comes down to adults, 4 or more servings are expected.


Get plenty of calcium 


        To have a good joint, strong bones and muscles, you have to be sure you're getting the recommended dosage of needed calcium everyday.

Women under the age of 50 need about 1,000 mg of calcium per day, and 1,200 mg over age of 50.

While adult men under the age of 70 need 1,000 mg of calcium per day while beyond the age of 70 should be getting 1,200 mg per day.

Good food sources of calcium include kale, diary products, soy products, broccoli, almonds and sardines.
